Interesting. I was prepared to really like PTB — the name is excellent. The taste is reminiscent of Crunchy Peanut Butter but with a distinct flair of caramelized sugar. The taste of caramelized sugar is wonderful on many things. Flan comes to mind, especially. Here, it does distract somewhat from the megasweetness, but Peanut Toffee Buzz is a better name than the taste it represents. It gets a slight bump for originality and the green-tea caffeine. I like it, but I don’t REALLY like it.

The “new recipe” is totally underwhelming. If anything, I might take this rating down a notch. Not sure what they changed, but rather than a nice caramelized taste, it seems to have taken on an almost sour character along with a seemingly different peanutbutteriness. Meh. Officially demoted from 3.5 to 3.0.
There are better bars to be had.
